The point of GXP inspections is that because you are regulated industry “big brother is watching.” My observation over decades is that when companies sense the government is taking its foot off the pedal by being less strict or conducting fewer inspections there is a greater willingness to cut corners. This often translates into short-term gains but long-term losses, as those who go too far in cutting corners more often than not end up facing serious consequences.
